“96% of executives think they are doing enough to support their employees from a wellbeing perspective… but the effectiveness of these interventions doesn’t measure up and many feel their wellbeing is getting worse.”

- Ryan Hopkins, JAAQ Chief Impact Officer

Together, Bupa and JAAQ are seeking to change the world, one question at a time, reaching countless individuals with vital information and support.

Bupa Global is excited to announce it has joined forces with JAAQ (Just Ask A Question) to improve its mental health support to SMEs in Europe. A partnership that combines JAAQ's innovative approach with Bupa's commitment to improving members' lives.

This initiative represents yet another big step in Bupa Global's transition from an insurance provider to a healthcare partner, standing out in the industry and helping to provide healthier, happier lives for our members.

To celebrate the Bupa Global Europe launch of JAAQ, James O’Reilly and the team welcomed Ryan and Zoe from JAAQ to the Dublin office.

Addressing the current state of mental health support in the workplace, Ryan stated, “96% of executives think they are doing enough to support their employees from a wellbeing perspective and spend millions of pounds a year to do so, but the effectiveness of these interventions doesn’t measure up and many feel their wellbeing is getting worse.”

James O'Reilly shared his perspectives on the increasing demand for mental health support.

"Mental health is a significant topic, and we’re seeing an increase in members seeking help, with nearly 130% growth in mental health claims over the last three years. We want to help our members take control of their mental health and wellbeing – support them to get help and advice before symptoms become severe. Our collaboration with JAAQ provides us with a distinct advantage in International Private Medical Insurance (IPMI). Leveraging a platform that has been successfully utilised by BGIUK, we’re able to offer substantial benefits to our customers that are unmatched by competitors.”

He added, “This partnership is a USP in IPMI and a big step forward in our journey toward becoming more than just an insurer but being a healthcare partner.”

Offering Bupa Global customers a unique level of support, it's clear this is a partnership that will bring substantial benefits to both our members and our business.

We’ll bring you further updates on how this collaboration will strengthen further and grow in the future.
